Bursa is a very large place and full of manufacturing, with many industries. It is also the end of the silk road from China. We visited the Silk Markets and the Green Mosque before we checked into the hotel.
The quality of the silk varies, and there are so many little shops selling silk products, it is easy to step back in time. Queen Elizabeth also toured the markets on her visit as many have her photo in their windows. Outside was clothing markets and clothing is so cheap. Comfort shoes are 25 lire a bout $12.50 as for quality, I suppose the Kmarts and Rivers shops make their profits from similar quality products.

Walnut staircase in Green mosque |
The next morning we left the hotel for a long drive back to Istanbul but before we c set out we visited the most amazing fine leather manufacturer. They have the lamb leather at 0.04gm and make the most amazing and light garments including a leather coat that folds into a small bag. I was tempted except it would be ruined by mould. Can you believe all the Malayan and Singapore ladies bought one! More money than sense. Would go well with their Prada handbags and diamonds
